Welcome | Nau mai, haere mai
At the Nelson Tasman Youth Workers Collective (NTYWC), we’re here to support the people and organisations who work with young people across our region. Since 1985, our goal has been to strengthen the youth sector by making it more connected, professional, vibrant, and equipped to guide rangatahi toward positive futures.
We offer:
-
Quality training and professional development
-
Opportunities to connect, share, and grow through sector-wide networking
-
Trusted information and navigation support to help young people access the services they need
Our services are free or low-cost, easy to access, and open to anyone working with rangatahi in the Nelson Tasman region.
"Together, we’re building a community that uplifts
and empowers youth - one connection at a time".
NTYWC Training and Events

Mana Taiohi & Code of Ethics for Youth Workers in Aotearoa
The Code of Ethics defines fundamental values and standards for youth workers in Aotearoa to ensure that their mahi is carried out in a safe, skilled, and ethical manner. Delivered by Ara Taiohi, this practical training introduces a range of youth work scenarios that incorporate the principles of mana taiohi and positive youth development.
