Wellness Hui For Youth Development Workers
The Wellness Hui provides youth development workers with the tools and knowledge so they can better support rangatahi they work alongside. The format of the day will include a selection of presentations and workshops from specialist health practitioners, along with activities to refresh mind, body and soul.

The Power of Connection: Attachment informed approaches to working with depression | Online
This training, presents a reconceptualisation of Dollard and Millar’s (1945) Frustration-Aggression hypothesis for unipolar depression integrated with insights from Neufeld's attachment-based developmental model, as well as recent trauma research, to help those working with both adults and children who struggle with depressive symptoms. Mapping the source of frustration, registering futility, the process of adaption and the integration of mixed emotions in the prefrontal cortex will also be covered in this training.

This event explores cult and high‑control group dynamics, coercive control, and the hidden harms affecting children and whānau. Supported by Hikitia!, RISE’s ACC‑funded primary prevention work, this event is designed for those in the support sector and allied fields. Participants will gain insights into manipulation, coercive control, trauma, and long‑term harm, along with practical strategies for safeguarding children and supporting whānau.
