Online Safety Training for adults who work with young people

Netsafe is inviting adults who work or volunteer with young people to sign up for a free training starting in June. The training focuses on how to respond when a young person first shares something that has happened to them online, and how to help connect them with the right support. You do not need to be an online safety expert to take part.

Upstanders 3: The voices of men preventing family violence and sexual violence

Building on the foundations of the previous hui, this gathering continues to strengthen whakawhanaungatanga, uphold cultural safety, and grow leadership capability across tāne working in the sector. We’ll also have a key focus on how we can shape what sustainable connection and support for tāne in this sector could look like moving forward.

Community Building Block - Walking Alongside Rangatahi | Online

This online workshop explores the principles that guide positive youth development and what it means to genuinely engage with young people by genuinely walking the journey with them, all the while creating opportunities and spaces for rangatahi to be heard.  You’ll come away with practical insights you can apply in your own community mahi, along with a deeper understanding of how strong, trusting relationships support wellbeing and growth for young people in our communities.

Trauma Informed Care: Providing Support to Children and Adolescents | Online

Discover current research on trauma, including complex trauma, and how this affects development for children and adolescents. Learn about trauma and the relationship to attachment theory. The workshop aims to develop practical skills and resources for trauma work and how mental health professionals can support clients.
