Professional Development & Services | Ngā Wānanga
The Nelson Tasman Youth Workers Collective creates meaningful opportunities for youth workers to connect, learn, and grow. Through training, hui, and shared learning, we support development and strengthen practice.
By fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge, we help build a confident, connected sector—because stronger youth workers mean stronger outcomes for rangatahi and their communities.
Together, we’re building a community that uplifts
and empowers youth - one connection at a time.
Training
Each year, the Nelson Tasman Youth Workers Collective offers high-quality training opportunities to strengthen those working with rangatahi.
Our training is shaped in collaboration with members and the wider youth sector to ensure it stays relevant, practical, and responsive to the changing needs of young people.

Information Sharing
The Nelson Tasman Youth Workers Collective keeps the youth sector informed through the publication of a fortnightly ‘Rāngai Rangatahi Ramere Panui e-newsletter’. This includes promoting training and professional development opportunities, highlighting research/insights of interest to the sector, profiling local or national events, and signposting of new and existing programmes and services to support youth workers in their mahi.
