Nelson Tasman Youth Workers Collective (NTYWC)
Effective Date: 1st May 2025

1. Membership

  • Membership is open to individuals and organisations working with or supporting young people in the Nelson Tasman region.

  • Membership is confirmed upon receipt of payment and completion of a membership form.

  • Memberships are non-transferable and renewable annually.

  • NTYWC reserves the right to review and, in exceptional circumstances, revoke membership.
     

2. Member Benefits

  • Access to member-only resources, newsletters, and training opportunities.

  • Discounted or free attendance at NTYWC-organised workshops and events.

  • Opportunities for collaboration, networking, and information sharing within the youth sector.
     

3. Training & Events

  • All participants must register for events and adhere to event-specific guidelines.

  • NTYWC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events; members will be notified, and refunds will be provided if applicable.

  • Participants must behave respectfully and professionally at all events.
     

4. Code of Conduct

  • Members and participants are expected to uphold the values of respect, inclusiveness, and integrity.

  • Discrimination, harassment, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • NTYWC reserves the right to remove individuals from events or revoke membership for breaches of conduct.
     

5. Use of Equipment

  • NTYWC may make equipment available for members under the agreed terms.

  • Equipment must be used responsibly and returned in original condition.

  • Any damage or loss may incur a replacement or repair fee.
     

6. Privacy

  • Member information is collected solely for NTYWC administrative and communication purposes.

  • Your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where legally required.
     

7. Liability

  • NTYWC takes all reasonable steps to ensure a safe and professional environment but is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in events or use of resources.

  • Members and participants are responsible for their own actions and personal property.
     

8. Changes to Terms

  • NTYWC reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes via email or the website.
