Netsafe launched Cyberbullying Prevention Toolkit

Netsafe’s new evidence-based cyberbullying prevention toolkit gives teachers ready-to-use, research-informed resources for Years 5-13 to prevent and respond to online bullying. Developed with input from educators and young people, it helps schools move from awareness to action - strengthening wellbeing, empathy, and digital citizenship

The latest World Youth Report highlights the increasing importance of youth mental health and wellbeing. It explores the challenges facing young people today and the vital role youth workers, educators, and communities play in supporting rangatahi to thrive.

Counsellors warn NZ is normalising crisis levels of youth distress

Youth mental distress has become entrenched, suicide remains a national tragedy, and our systems are failing to intervene early enough, says the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC). NZAC President Huhana Pene says these findings should trigger urgent action. The mental health prevention system is underpowered and reactive, and investing in early intervention is just as important as investing in crisis response.  Read more here.
