Project Lead – Strengthening the Nelson Tasman Youth Sector

Are you passionate about creating positive change for rangatahi in Nelson Tasman? Do you thrive on collaboration, strategy, and community impact? The Nelson Tasman Youth Workers Collective is on the lookout for a dynamic Project Lead to help shape the future of our region’s youth sector.

The Nelson Tasman Youth Workers Collective is leading a multi-agency project focused on building a more connected, capable, and resilient youth sector that supports young people to thrive. This role will guide the development of a 3-year Action Plan that sets the course for collective action and long-term impact.

Drug harm prevention needs among adolescents in Aotearoa New Zealand: Findings from the Youth19 Survey

The aim of this study is to inform policy and practice by investigating drug harm prevention needs among secondary students in Aotearoa and updating and extending previous Aotearoa research. Previous studies have established high, inequitable and growing levels of foregone healthcare among adolescents in Aotearoa, yet recent investigation of unmet need for tobacco, alcohol and other drug services, by demographic sub-group, is a gap.

Each of these taonga newly released adds new depth, knowledge, and tools to strengthen our collective mahi.  Mahi Tūturu a report on the Landscape of Youth Work in Aotearoa, Kaiparahuarahi: Understanding Identities through Intersectionality, and Ngā Tāhuhu Kōrero: A History of Youth Work in Aotearoa New Zealand.
